Ally is a coastal Mississippi native who has called Alabama home for the past two decades. She’s a mom to two wildly energetic girls, a lifelong collector of good stories, and the sort of person who can turn a simple question into a three-hour research rabbit hole. She spent nearly a decade working in youth and college ministry, where she developed a lasting appreciation for big questions, good conversations, and stories that form our soul.

These days, she puts that curiosity to work as an audiobook and podcast producer for Owl’s Nest Publishers. She also hosts Turning Back the Pages, a podcast about the childhood books that shaped children’s book authors, and is an editor of an annotated edition of Pollyanna, forthcoming from Owl’s Nest Publishers in November 2027. She writes, reads, researches, and generally finds as many excuses as possible to talk about books.
